Bore holes are a critical source of potable water. Intensive farming can effectively damage the quality of available water sufficiently to prevent these sources from remaining viable. In effect the water is polluted to the point processing becomes cost inneficient for the customer and the utility.

We are seeking solutions that will enable our client to monitor the condition of bore hole water cost efficiently and identify time stamps for key changes in quality - specifically pollutants from manure and fertilisers used in intensive farming are a major concern.

Farmers recieve funding if they are in a Nitrate Vulnerable Zone and new sensors could potentially support this agenda if they are able to provide actionable insight. Such information could be used to support awareness campaigns and tackle issues in countryside stewardship impacting on water availability.
